I arrived home this afternoon from Indianapolis to find my advance copy of the book on my desk. I’ve been expecting it and I’m just sorry I couldn’t take it with me to the workshop.
Anyway, It’s beautiful, if I do say so myself! I really want to thank my editor, Karin Buckingham, and all the great people at Kalmbach Books who did a wonderful job. I’ve always felt that they produced some of the best looking books in the craft market. Now I have to say it’s true!
So, for all who have pre-ordered, hang in there, it should be coming soon!
Have an awesome weekend, everyone!
Yea!!!
Patti, I got an advanced copy of your book from Karin, and I just wanted to congratulate you on a job well done. I was inspired, and I hope that comes through in the review I posted on my blog.
My results this week are far better than those I had the first time I tried metal clay and polymer, about 5 years ago. It’s been a long time since I’ve pulled out my metal clay supplies, but after this week, I definitely intend to play some more with this pairing. Thanks for the nudge via your book!
A fabulous grown-up book, taking metal clay and polymer into serious partnership and introducing the vital clues for jewellery, and indeed, any design elements ; in particular echoing the same elements in both metal and polymer. Non -scary silversmithing techniques and project variations for further inspiration. Your book is for metal clay and polymer what Maggio and Huanani have done for polymer and colour. Education, tuition and innovation to lead the artist further up the long climb to professional artistry.
I’m waiting for your next book, or preferably, masterclasses in the UK!
Kerrie,
Thanks for your kind review. And I’d love to come to the UK sometime!
This is one awesome book! She has new techniques that are so obvious, but I never thought of them. They added a lot to my skills and jewelry. I love this book!
