be there with bells on? not so much

In an effort to clean up around the studio, I finally made a second silver pistachio shell and added the pearls.  Ok, so the idea of making them earrings didn’t work out for me.  While they look fine…

they tinkle like bells everytime I move.  I only wore them for about 10 minutes, and they were driving me crazy!!

I just looked up the meaning and origin of the phrase “Be there with bells on” and it refers to having bells on the best harness for the horses pulling a carriage to a special event. They are dressier earrings, for sure.  But sometimes intentions go awry.  Hopefully my other projects I’m trying to clean up will be better.  I’m hoping to get to some special designs to enter into competitions.  I’ll keep you posted.

In other news, the countdown to the first day of school is on… 12 days.  And the kids had to go pick out their school supplies the day after we came home from our vacation… funny kids!  They won’t admit it, but I think they’re ready to go back.
